Evergreen

Hey      you said, turning
at the sight of your smile, your arms and your hazel green eyes

My world returned to life,           full color
blossoming ever evergreen.

Softly

She saw the thunder in his eyes,
reflecting flashes in its green-brown hues.
The wind and its howl
and the rain
tickling the rough concrete sidewalk.

It bewildered her, to watch all of it happen
in its gentle beauty
and he
he watched her,
her soft brown hues and soft
unearthly glow.

Push

A stroll by the sidewalk
in the cold
afternoon sun

A pinch in my sides
in my feet
it hurts.

Involuntary muscle contraction
that’s what it feels like to be
with you

A painful squeeze in my chest
and my heart freezes
hot ice

If this was meant for me
why
does it hurt so much?

Paper plane

It was always
hard to pin you down

Your footsteps
like a needle in a haystack.

With your arms
outstretched to the sky,

my world inevitably, fell
into yours

with the force of gravity, with a blink
of seasons.

Honey lips

One last word
One last moment
you said

your breath painting
a spectrum of fireworks
in the dark, dark sky.

Your lips brushed
mine
like morning dew

with a hint of day
and the brilliance of
stars
of honey.

You.

I like the way
your almond eyes shine;
so bright,
when you say babe or hi.

You make me an angel,
royalty too,
your love and admiration
makes me fall deeper for you.

You take a deep breath–
my heart skips a beat,
I’m falling, cartwheeling
to an eternity of you.
